Welcome to the DOTA 2 Auto Chess Tier List. Here you will find rankings of each hero based on our own play and research into other tier lists across the web. Like all of our tier lists, we update these each month or when there is a content patch applied.
About Auto Chess
In Dota 2 Auto Chess, there are 8 players. Each player places a team of DOTA 2 units or heroes of their own composition on a chess-like board. During a round, the units fight each other with the fights being out of the control of the player. Following each round, a player can buy new heroes of increasing power with gold. As heroes increase in power, so does their respective gold cost.
Some heroes are better for early to mid game play, while others (which typically cost more gold) excel during late game. Our Tier List currently is divided into four tiers which represent varying power levels of each unit or hero. Use this as a general guide for picking units for your Auto Chess team.
The DOTA 2 Auto Chess Tier List is divided into four tiers:
Tier 1 - Strong
These units represent the current top tier picks in the meta. They sit above the current power state of the meta
Tier 2 - Above Average
These units represent the current power state of the meta across most skill levels.
Tier 3 - Average
These units are below the average power level of the current meta.
Tier 4 - Weak
These units represent the bottom of the current meta. They could be chosen by someone who is exceptionally experienced at playing them however.
